Bag sites are open from 8 am – 10 am. The bag site for Auke Bay is Squires Rest.
Litter Free provides bags, (yellow= trash, green = recycle aluminum, plastic, tin, NO GLASS!!!), plastic gloves, sign up sheets, wrist bands to allow entry to the Coastal Code picnic, and information on the cleanup.
The cleanup is for public property only – including streets, sidewalks, parks, trails, beaches, streams, etc. – no private properties in this event, thanks.

The Parks and Rec Dept finally installed a “NO CAMPING” sign on the Auk Nu Beach Access. We have already had two campers there one who was hosting others and leaving a pretty squalid area. He has been invited to the Thane Campground and is gone. I am planning on working on that area and beach though I may not get it all done on Sat. May take some time Sun too.
