With the failure of the Auke Bay Area Plan the neighborhood association has not met for several years. I have often considered taking down this website, but have found this blog in particular to be helpful in getting information out to others in Auke Bay. Thoughts? Please comment below if you find this helpful.

I’m sorry I wasn’t aware that the ABN Plan had failed.
Failed is a strong word, better to say that it’s not supported by either the city or much of Auke Bay. The “plan” was to result in new zoning, which it did not. Seeing that it was the cities first attempt at an area plan I’m sure they learned a great deal from the exercise.
I vote to keep the website for future unanticipated needs to inform the Auke Bay Community.
If there is a cost I am happy to contribute.
Also, I am not recalling the failure of the Auke Bay Plan. Why and when? Please send a link or brief update when time allows.

Hi Linda, see above response. Hope you can make it tonight. I’m not able, as long as Auke Bay is represented. I’ll check in later to see what I missed.
I believe neighborhood associations are important to maintain. They provide a vehicle to express views on issues that may impact us as a neighborhood.
I also really appreciate the website and forum for information sharing.
Thanks Karen, wasn’t sure if it was still a resource. I use to receive correspondence from CBJ and would post notices if in the Auke Bay area. I seem to have quit receiving those for some reason, will have to inquire as to why.
